THE WORKSHOP
The Sixth Workshop on Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors (RICH2007) will be held in Trieste, Italy, 15-20 October 2007. The workshop will focus on the "state of the art" and the future developments in Cherenkov light imaging techniques for applications in High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics and Astroparticle Physics. Exotic application of Cherenkov radiation and alternative particle identification methods will also be discussed.
The previous Workshops of this series took place in Bari, Italy (1993); Uppsala, Sweden (1995); Ein Gedi, Israel (1998); Pylos, Greece (2002); Playa del Carmen, Mexico (2004).
The conference is organized in plenary sessions of invited talks and contributed talks, and poster presentations. The proceedings will be published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A, as the proceedings of the previous Workshops.

RICH2007-NIM A Young Scientists' Award
The "RICH2007-NIM A Young Scientists' Award" will be granted at RICH2007. The award is sponsored by the journal Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A; it consists in an amount of 1,000 €.
Eligibility criteria:
1. maximum age of 32 years at the time of the workshop
2. no permanent position
3. contributions to RICH detectors, as discussed in a talk or a poster presented at RICH2007
IMPORTANT: The young scientists presenting a talk or a poster at RICH2007, are kindly requested to send an e-mail to the Conference Secretariat (rich2007@ts.infn.it) by 1 October 2007 indicating their birth date and their present position: these data are needed to include them among the eligible persons.
WORKSHOP SITE
The Workshop site will be the Congress Centre Stazione Marittima, in the centre of Trieste, directly on a pier.
